Exploding CD at 170.000 frames per second

Slow Mo did an other great slow motion video this time with a CD. CDs usually can spin up to 23k times. They started with 28,5k fps and ended up to 170,6k fps. Camera used was a Phantom V2511 that can take in lowest resolution 1.000.000 fps. They sound great but how great they are?

Normal cameras usually take 25 to 30 frames or even 60 (You can have slow motion at 120 or 240 frames). Phantom takes 1M frames per second. That means that for a normal camera it takes 40.000 seconds (11.11 Hours) to record the same number of frames.

Take a look at the video.
